Morgan Harris

Morgan Harris, aka “The Godfather,” has given so much of his life to others, and to our Mountain Bike Community. He has built many of our local trails and continues to maintain all trails. You may have run into him on the trail with his dog Hazel by his side.

It’s time for us to give back!

Morgan was diagnosed with cancer in his lower jaw in May 2018 and has undergone a major surgery to rid him of this horrible disease.

This surgery leaves Morgan with no lower teeth; his insurance will cover the surgery, but not the cost to replace his teeth.

We are asking for donations to get “The Godfather” some new choppers, which is estimated around $40K.

First Ride Post-Surgery

For decades Harris has been a staple in the mountain biking community for his commitment to building and maintaining mountain biking trails in Southern Utah.

He, along with his twin brother, is widely credited with building many of the trails that put southwestern Utah on the map as a mountain biking mecca including the Gooseberry Mesa trail network, which is a designated national recreation trail, and the Little Creek Mesa trail.

Morgan contributed greatly to the Southern Utah mountain biking community. His diligence and giving in creating and maintaining many bicycle trail systems has impacted many from across the world who come to ride!
